Take an older yet successful play-pattern and rejuvenate it by bringing it into the digital age of interaction all while expanding the market through an increase in awareness, value, and sales.
Scope
Walk into any toy store or craft retailer and you will find “hand on” crafts that will allow you to paint, sticker, color, marker, gem, or assemble a unique work of art that you can call your own. The problem is, once you start there is no undo button or a way to pre-visualize what you’re going to create.
Delivery
Popar’s unique gaming division came up with a 3D pre visualization tool that will allow customers to scan there products from Masterpiece called the “Works of AHHH!” and the 3D wooden model would come to life in the app. Thus kids could explore painting different colors, even mixing of colors, attaching gems, using stickers and even applying stencils. They can then save their work and even share their work on social media programs such as Facebook and Twitter getting feedback and recommendations for the final real project. This added value to the physical product presented more value than the competitors other craft style products in this very competitive landscape and thus got more product placement on shelves.
If customers buy the actual, physical puzzle they can then use the app to scan the front of the box and unlock a plethora of new BONUS content, features, and it even unlocks a community that allows customers to connect with each other and showcase their fastest completion times, which they can then post onto their favorite social media networks. Retailers and manufacturers love this product because it can add value without taking up more room on their shelves and because it connects all of their customers together into one large community. The customers love this product because they can finally enjoy puzzles from anywhere!
