Rebrand and repackage Popar’s current line of products to use alongside an Augmented Reality application.

PlayAR Games is a world-wide conglomerate that has a very successful and proven mall kiosk business model. They are one of largest in the world that serves countless customers in various closed retail spaces found throughout the world. They are known for there for their variety of unique products and for creating a more enjoyable and personal shopping experience that focuses on 1 on 1 customer relations. The mall kiosk business model provides consumers with specialty goods that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. PlayAR Games came to us looking for a new unique product. They wanted to create a white label brand of several Popar products. This would allow the products to get into the hands of consumers around the world reaching a whole new demographic, while at the same time not hurting the Popar brand.

Popar repackaged 9 of our existing products: the Safari, Sea life, and Dinosaur Books; the Human Anatomy and Solar System Wall Charts; and the Princess, Construction, and Football Puzzles. All the physical products and their corresponding digital applications were repackaged and re-launched as a white label brand for PlayAR Games.

The products and the digital applications were also re-launched using product serial codes that the consumer would find on the physical product and enter it into the digital application. This added value to the products themselves but it also allowed PlayAR Games to improve their distribution model. Popar successfully re-launched all the products and their applications making the white label brand feel like a new product and allowing PlayAR Games to feel like its own brand while making sure the Popar brand was not hurt in the process and both parties were happy.

Create a unique and educational, interactive wall chart that can function as both a physical poster and as an augmented reality educational tool when used with mobile smart devices.

QVC is the world’s leading video and ecommerce retailer, offering a curated collection of desirable brands to millions of customers around the globe each day through broadcast, internet, and mobile sales platforms. QVC is the world’s top multimedia shopping company in terms of viewers and revenue. Popar has been on QVC with both our books and charts in the past. On both occasions Popar’s products were met with a great response. QVC reached out to us and wanted to hire Popar to create a new 3D Interactive Wall Chart. To capitalize on the popularity of QVC’s educational products as well as Popar’s previous successful track record with our other educational product lines and our world map chart. QVC wanted a chart that focused on both capitals, states, and the presidents of the United States.

Popar was contracted to create this educational product that would act as a modern teaching tool. The U.S.A. Capitals and Presidents Wall Chart is what came from combining Popar’s knowledge, experience, and custom gaming division with the needs and ideas that QVC brought to the table.

The U.S.A. Capitals and Presidents Wall Chart creates a digital, 3D museum exhibit that is filled with 3D artifacts and tons of fun facts about all the Presidents of the United States. In Capitals mode you can inspect a 3D model of each state that includes real world topographical data and satellite textures! Learn fun facts and history about each state including mottos, state culture, etc. There are also 3D models, pictures, and videos detailing the greatest aspects of each state.

The U.S.A Capitals and Presidents map is filled with 40 minutes worth of fully voiced videos; 45 pages worth of historical facts about each of the Presidents; over 200 3D models of artifacts used in the 3D museum exhibit; over 350 fun facts about the Presidents and State capitals; and so much more. Where other products on the President will become dated once the 45th President of the United States is elected. This product was created to be able to update itself to keep up with current events. To date the U.S.A. Capitals and Presidents map is one of the largest products ever created by Popar and is sure to educate for years to come.

Getting kids to enjoy and have fun with an educational safety program through the use of intricate beautiful animations and a multitude of entertaining games that kids can play on a custom tablet, home computer, or on a digital device of their choice.

The same old methodology of talking to a child for 40 minutes straight without getting them to participate won’t keep a child engaged or entertained. Learning about gas and electrical safety is extremely important but keeping the child engaged is vital so they can learn, retain, and share that information with others.

Popar’s custom gaming division revamped Consumers Energy’s EmPOWERed Kids gas and electric safety programs to include both a digital interactive app and an in-school tablet presentation program.

Popar’s knowledge and experience along with our innovative gaming division was able to reconstruct and overhaul Consumers Energy’s gas and electric safety programs including both a digital interactive app and an in-school presentation program to run on custom tablets. The software was developed specifically for grades K-2 and another for 3-6. Each program includes a variety of presentations, interactive features, intricate animations, hands-on games, and augmented reality for interacting in the real world.

The system was developed to run on custom tablets that we had made specifically to be handed out in the classroom to run the software in a special “kids only mode.” The kids could only interact with the Consumers Energy program but if unlocked it was a fully functional android tablet that could access numerous other apps and be updated on the web. This multi-tiered program fulfills the educational needs of the children and delivers Consumers Energy’s safety programs to both the child and the consumers.

Title

A cost effective delivery of engaging marketing using Augmented Reality

How do you reach and share new information to an established audience? Deliver information about renewable energy solutions and cost saving in a unique and captivating way.

The award winning Fisher Agency was hired to create an amazing brand called “The Renewables” and they wanted to showcase this message with the traditional media campaign of print and TV, but they were also looking for something new and exciting. The audience conditioned to seeing the same message over and over again, the solution needed to be something that could captivate and engage there audience.

Popar was to take a monthly utility bill that customers already receive on a regular basis and deliver an interactive message. In addition, during school children would see and hear about an exciting, new technology demo using Augmented Reality technology. Excited, they then bring that same message home in an intriguing “show and tell” demonstration, which reinforces the message that renewable energy is cool and fun, like the technology. So they contacted Popar for their easy to use and reliable Augmented Reality technology and award winning animation department in order to share their message of renewable energy on billing statements as well as creating a message of renewable energy on billing statements

This also allowed the agency and the utility company to deliver this new message in a cost effective manner since only one special graphic would need to be printed onto the already mailed monthly utility bills. Add this along with a call to action and you have a very unique way to deliver a message using Augmented Reality that people will listen to and that kids will love.

Title

To drive sales and location based leads using an augmented reality game at NBA events

Showcase a video of someone playing the game using various high-profile logos such as: KIA Motors, Phoenix Suns, and the NBA logo. The video could be shot in front of the Phoenix Suns arena; from the stands; or from the KIA dealership. The video could make use of basketball stock footage, a KIA vehicle, the KIA postcard, and maybe the US Airways Center.

Scope

imagesHow does a dealership that sponsors an NBA arena, generate both national and local based leads for their dealerships? While at the same time creating a social media buzz beyond the typical, physical placement of a car or billboards during the play season.

 

Delivery

The Popar solution was to create a multiplayer, fast-paced, basketball shoot-out mobile game, which could connect players to a national leaderboard: containing high scores and player rankings.

This arcade style, finger-swiping, basketball shooter could only be played at arenas or special marketed locations near the KIA vehicle; at the KIA Motors dealerships; on the postcards; or on the NBA ticket stubs.  The game also included physical prizes such as: FREE gas for a year, various discounts, and lots of other prizes for the winners of each competition, which instantly created a demand to download and play the game over and over again. While at the same time social media was buzzing over the game that could be played at the arena.  During the gameplay the KIA vehicle and other logos would continually brand the player’s surroundings.  The game could be downloaded and played by anyone; however, in order to take part in the competitions players needed to enter their email and location. That data would then become part of the overall marketing strategy and used by the dealerships to get test drives from the corresponding local dealerships.

The problem is, once you start there is no undo button or a way to pre-visualize what you’re going to create.

Popar’s unique gaming division came up with a 3D pre visualization tool that will allow customers to scan there products from Masterpiece called the “Works of AHHH!” and the 3D wooden model would come to life in the app. Thus kids could explore painting different colors, even mixing of colors, attaching gems, using stickers and even applying stencils. They can then save their work and even share their work on social media programs such as Facebook and Twitter getting feedback and recommendations for the final real project. This added value to the physical product presented more value than the competitors other craft style products in this very competitive landscape and thus got more product placement on shelves.

MasterPieces Puzzle Company was already successful at delivering their products to their customers but they knew that the digital mobile revolution was whittling away at their profit margins. Popar was brought on board and we believed that in our digital age, the puzzles needed to be mobile, fun, and accessible! Popar came up with a solution that would keep the current market intact and would expand it by developing new, fun and exciting ways to interact with the MasterPieces puzzles. The only thing customers needed to do was simply download the MasterPieces Jigsaw Puzzle App onto their mobile smart device or tablet and they could instantly play and enjoy digital versions of the award-winning images from various collections in the MasterPieces puzzle line.

If customers buy the actual, physical puzzle they can then use the app to scan the front of the box and unlock a plethora of new BONUS content, features, and it even unlocks a community that allows customers to connect with each other and showcase their fastest completion times, which they can then post onto their favorite social media networks. Retailers and manufacturers love this product because it can add value without taking up more room on their shelves and because it connects all of their customers together into one large community. The customers love this product because they can finally enjoy puzzles from anywhere!

When users open their mobile application and point it at a Sqwishland Trading Card, it comes to life with its specific character. You can even battle them trump style with two or more cards. This physical-digital bridge is truly dynamic and brings the customer closer to the brand and the brand closer to coming alive as well as creating an exciting, school program.

Qualbuys a manufacturer of innovative products that come to life hired Popar to add value to a unique soap line they were creating called Sud Budz.  Inside each soap was a toy and a game to play that was activated in augmented reality.

 

Delivery

Each SudBudz™ soap product has its own arcade game that we developed and integrated into the product. Playing the games allowed customers to earn coins that they could spend on various types of food, soaps, and medicines that are used in order to nurse an animal back to health. The animals need to be kept happy and healthy until it is ready to be released into the wild. The game incorporates augmented reality technology onto each of the individual collector’s cards adding a more immersive and captivating virtual experience!
